Listening to:

The Zombies, Absolutely the Best

I gave this CD to A for his birthday, but I like the music, too, so I downloaded the MP3 album from Amazon thanks to some folks who gave me a gift card. Thank you! It's great British 1960s rock, with well-known songs such as 'She's Not There' and 'Time of the Season'. I also downloaded Blue October's History for Sale. I love 'Calling You'.

Listening to music has been the one pastime that hasn't abated during all this. I've played a few games on the tablet (especially Jewels Legend) and read a little, but mostly I've listened to music.

Today I received a care package from my aunt and uncle with popcorn, almonds, herbal tea, and two books, a Tuesday Next mystery and the book The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary (P.S.). Both look very good, and I can't resist the subtitle of the latter. Thanks so much! :) Thanks, also, to Brandon for going and getting the package from the post office.

I did sleep a bit earlier but woke up realising that I totally forgot to take some Tylenol the first time I got up and was in quite a bit of pain. So I rectified that, and then sat down and enrolled in my work benefits. Then I went around the various places in the house where detritus has been collecting and gathered up trash, recyclables, and important papers and put them in their appointed places. It took awhile, but I actually even managed to get that roll of paper towels off the floor from under the table using a large pointy umbrella. Then I paid some bills online, so I'm good for electricity till December and am early on a couple of things.

I think I have a little time to rest before Jill comes by. I'm a little tuckered from cleaning up. I never did manage to do my hair or the dishes, but hey, that's what tomorrow's for.
