Library Closure
- When the Shriners Children’s Hospital moved near UK in April of 2017, the library was closed, and the librarian position was laid off. With the help of Dr. M.S. Vijayaraghavan from the International We Serve, Inc., I packed up the entire library contents and took them to the International Book Project’s site, where they were put in a shipping container and sent directly to India for use there. Nothing was wasted.
