A few months ago a library student wrote into one of the lists I'm on looking for resources to help girls dealing with mental health, violence, and other issues. That project is now complete and can be found at: Girls on the Edge Bibliography by Joy Marion.
I'm adding this link under 'fostering our future', along with the Building Resiliency in Teens site (another site by a librarian). This is something very dear in my heart. As someone who had dealt with depression, anxiety, self-harm, abuse, etc., and who, at 36 is finally starting to feel well and in control of her life, I applaud anything that might help someone out there so they don't spend half their life trying to heal or, worse, lose the battle entirely. When I meet people who didn't know me then they have a hard time believing what I went through. I didn't have these sorts of resources then. I hope they help kids today so they can avoid as much of the pain as possible.
Keep up the good work.
