I tried to blog last night and couldn't get through to Blogger or Blog*Spot. Last night was very productive. I applied at UK for a supervisory position at (gulp!) the survey research centre where I used to work as a phone researcher. It's not library-related but it does pay much better than I get now. I also fixed a couple of problems with my vita and posted a resumes on Monster.com and Help Wanted - Lexington. So that was good, I think.
This morning I got up a little early and loaded the dishwasher and ran the vacuum because the pest control guys are coming for their bimonthly run-through. The animals were not particularly happy about this. Buns, who was perfectly safe up on top of a bookshelf, nearly fell off to the ground in his haste to hide behind a painting (rather flimsy protection after all).
I had a very strange dream last night of the girls from Charmed, all pregnant. Seems Piper was pregnant and was somehow contagious, so her pregnancy spread to the others despite the fact that no one else should have been. I'm hoping maybe it's a bizarrely good sign for Dwana, who started off her morning on a bad note (she'd had a really, really good day yesterday and was heading towards her 'prescribed sex' as she calls it--they're trying to have a baby--when she got news that a relative had died. Think good thoughts for her and her family, if you would.
I am having a good day, although I'm tired of two things: rain and fleas. It's rained constantly for days. I guess I shouldn't complain, it's not like, say, in Kansas, where that family was washed away (a sad story, that...and to have the father survive his wife and four children--he's in for a very difficult time). But still, it's very blah. In terms of the fleas, I'm ready to go back to the vet tomorrow and get more stuff, this time hopefully it will work, and I'm going to have to figure out how to bomb the house this weekend. I had two fleas piggy-back on me to work today. I'm soooo itchy and the animals are miserable, and nothing else has helped. So, it's time to wage war, I guess, especially since I'll be home more for awhile with the hours reduction starting next week.
Well, okay, it's lunch time. I'll blog later, hopefully. I am going to do a quick quiz, and then go down to eat. :)
