I feel free

I'm off work early and at home with no plans with anyone else until Saturday.  There's just me and the fish. :)  I would like to straighten up the bedroom and clean out the car, and of course there are the game notes, but otherwise I plan on having some fun and relaxing.  We'll see if that comes to pass.

I'm starting out my free time with a little cereal, and then a nap.  I'm waiting to see if something comes in the mail, which doesn't look like it's run yet.  I hope it does--it's the reimbursement for the trip, which I sent in the request for over a month ago. That would be a great help right now.

Okay, on to that nap.  Ill write later, though.

Yay! I'm off for two days!

Which means I:
  1. get away from the office for a little while (I really had to drag myself to work today, which indicated it was time to get away, even for a short time, as I usually love being there.
  2. can get the house in order before the fire department inspection on Thursday (which I didn't know would happen when it will when I asked of, but I knew it was looming)
  3. can take care of some errands and make some phone calls
  4. can prepare properly for class
  5. can get my allergy shots properly this week
  6. can go swimming in the pool
  7. won't have to take time off to take a friend to an appointment
  8. can blog more
  9. might be able to install Windows 10 on my machines, depending on how the rollout goes
Things I want to do tomorrow before class:
  1. Take a CD and some books to the library
  2. Clean the apartment thoroughly
  3. Water the plants, including the outside ones, one of which fell off its ledge yesterday, so I also need to sweep up the dirt
  4. Prepare for class

One more post tonight

It was a good day. I got some things done I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. I got a little done on the house, but also applied for a job, got my car taken care of, got a nap in, watched a DVD, had some quiet time alone (and it was fun), then had a lovely dinner (thanks to a friend) from Gumbo Ya Ya, weathered a storm with hail that came up as I was travelling to get dinner, watched 'The Big Bang Theory' with my friends, and watched an episode of 'House of Anubis' with YKWIA, Now I'm home. The house still needs work, but I've run out of time on my 'free day', so I'll just have to work a little each day to get it nice and ready for company again. It shouldn't take too long; things aren't that bad. Tomorrow I have to get up very early because it's allergy shot day, so I go in early to work, and it's almost midnight, so I should head on to bed. Good night.

Wearing a shirt to the DMV

that says 'You are about to exceed the limits of my medication' which our friend Tammy got me is probably not a great idea, but I went ahead and went down there, after filling up the gas tank, using the Kroger points to get it for $2.29. There was a line at the DMV, but it moved quickly. I was behind a blind lady and her caretaker, who were very sweet. I had everything ready when I got up there, got my new registration (it looks different now, and the sticker is a weird greyish white colour that looks kind of rubbery, instead of the normally brightly-coloured ones). After that I headed to the library, got three new books, including one on a 19th-century axe murder (no, not the Lizzie Borden case), and two on diet and wellness, and then got my parking ticked validated and went on out. I decided to go to the Chinoe Kroger (it's smaller, and easier to get in and out of, and got some drinks, some ice, some hand soap, and some menstrual pads. I went ahead and put the new sticker on the licence plate. I haven't eaten lunch yet (and did resist buying food, because for some reason after the burritos this morning, I'm just not hungry yet). I'll probably eat that here about 2 pm or so, unless I get hungry sooner. Newk's may be for dinner, though. I haven't looked to see if anything's playing at the Cinemark theatres that I have free tickets to, but frankly, I've put up the windows, it's nice outside, so I may just stick around here and watch a DVD or Netflix. Hmmm, I've been wanting to re-watch Galaxy Quest, which I have on VHS but not on DVD--but it is on streaming for Netflix. That's a possibility.

A happy thing

So, I'm looking at my calendar on my phone and am struck by the fact that for the first time in weeks--perhaps months--neither I nor a friend of mind whom I drive to commitments have any sort of appointments at all this week. Yay!

Today was good; A and I cleaned house in preparation for the game, then Brenda came over and we played Call of Cthulhu and visited. I normally stay for 'Witches of East End', but I didn't really sleep that well last night and I was pretty tired, so I came on home. YKWIA is recording it on his DVR, so hopefully I can watch it later. So now I'm comfy and listening to some music (Bastille's 'Icarus') and thinking about going on to bed even though it's not yet 10 pm.

Tomorrow I plan on:
  1. Getting some things accomplished at work
  2. Paying some bills
  3. Calling several doctor's offices that owe me co-pays because I met my out-of-pocket max months ago
  4. Working on the house
  5. Watching the season 8 premiere of 'The Big Bang Theory'
  6. Celebrating the autumnal equinox (10:29 PM local time (EDT))
I'm not sure yet if I'll go over to my friends' house or not tomorrow. I really need to work on the house some more. I'd like to get it in order before dark of the moon, which is in a couple of days. I didn't do my monthly libation last time, and I'd like to do so at dark of the moon (which is traditional) and purify the house, which should be clean first.

If I do go over there, I have the ingredients for more squash and couscous, and I'm going to alter the original recipe by adding garlic (it was a little bland as it was written--YKWIA, an excellent cook, suggested the garlic). Also, I managed to find some fresh basil, so I can use that instead of dried, which should help the flavour. But if not, I think everything will still be okay Tuesday, which may be better because A has a meeting on Monday nights, so we'd be eating fairly late if I do it then.

I really pigged out at the game today, eating quite a bit of cheese and some fruit, and a few crackers, plus a sandwich. But as of this morning I was 18 lbs down from my maximum weight, so that's good. Hopefully today won't reverse that trend. I tend to graze on Sundays rather than eating meals.

Okay, I really think I'm going to go on to bed. Good night.

A rare daytime weekday post

because I'm off today! [I don't blog at work, after all.] I couldn't remember the last time I'd just come straight home from work (I think it was the Monday before last, or maybe the one before that), and I got to do that last night, although then there was the whole picture thing, but I had also decided to ask for today off to deal with all the stuff at home of which I haven't been able to take care. I had a doctor's appointment this morning at 8 am with my ankle surgeon/podiatrist, and with all the heavy rain and traffic I was running late, but so was he, so it all worked out. My feet are doing well, I'm having no problems, and I got to pick out a pair of shoes good for diabetics that should be available in 2-4 weeks for me to pick up. So I came back through the driving rain, went to the new Richmond Road McDonald's (much easier to get in and out of than the old one, but a little odd, as you enter on one side and drive all around the building to get to the drive through. I got a couple of egg and cheese biscuits, came home, took my medicine and ate, listened to the radio, and now I've got to work out a plan for dealing with the house, as I have about six hours before I have to go over to a friend's to take him to an appointment. In the meantime, it's a rainy, cool day, and I think I'm going to open the windows, turn on all the lights (because it is rather dark in here without the sun out), and get going.

In retrospect

I was totally wrong about why my toe hurt last night. I had forgotten that I stubbed it on something. Last night it was red; today it's a little grey around the base where I have most certainly sprained it, possibly even broken it, although I don't think there's much to do about a broke fifth toe, except tape it and try to keep from hitting it or hurting it further. My toe doesn't stray very far from the fourth toe anyway, so I think I'll just wear my normal walking shoes rather than sandals for a few days and see if it heals up. Unfortunately the pain has spread to the outside of my foot into my ankle and up my calf part way, and it's real tender at the original point of injury. Still, it's a toe, and I'll be fine I'm sure, so I'm going to try not to let it slow me down.

I went by the pharmacy and delivered the medicine that I had to my friend. Now I have the rest of the day free to myself, as we're doing the store tomorrow. I literally clapped my hands in glee when I got back to the car. Mind you, I love my friends dearly, but I so rarely have a Saturday to spend any way I like. :)

I think I'm going to put my foot up for just a bit and take something for the pain so I can work on the house today. If I can get it together, maybe we can watch Saving Mr Banks over here tomorrow. Plus, I just want to get it all happily spring cleaned and comfortable.

I think I'm back

to some semblance of normalcy. I woke up this morning and it's like someone turned the dial and my mood seemed, well, mostly okay. That's how it happens. sometimes. It's like the hormones and brain chemistry just shifted into place. I'm not going to complain.

I went over to YKWIA's for awhile and we watched the very last 'Jam & Jerusalem'. I'll miss Sal, Tip, Rosie, and the others. It was a fun little show.

Now I'm home and contemplating what to do next. I need to go over my lease and sign it, but it's not vital I do that tonight. I might watch a little something or maybe read--I haven't decided. I'm hopelessly behind on shows like 'Doctor Who', 'Grimm', and 'Downton Abbey'. What I do know is that it's time to take out the contacts and get into comfy clothes. Then I think I'll check out some stuff online. I haven't touched the computer at home in something like three days--I've been blogging (what little I've been doing) from my phone while curled up in a ball in bed.

If I don't write anymore tonight, I hope your week is going well. Take care.

One more hour or less

I told myself I would go to bed at ten, so that would make thirteen hours I'll be up, which isn't too bad. I decided to do all of my physical therapy exercises, not just the ones with the band, and now my thigh and buttock feel like they're on fire. I broke down and took some acetaminophen. I think I need to increase this to once in the morning and once in the evening, at least. (Yes, Brandon, you told me that.) Got to get those muscles in shape for walking eventually.

So when 10 pm rolls by, I think I will definitely be ready for bed. It's been a good day. I've emailed two people, spoken with three friends on the phone, texted with one of those, and I've seen one of my friends in person. I've gone to an appointment, gotten groceries, listened to music, blogged, watched videos, and played on the Internet. And I've stayed awake! (Although getting a little caffeine in my system did help. But I don't feel too awake, either.)

So now I am down to thirty minutes. I'll start shutting things down. Hope you had a good day.

PS Made it to midnight, actually, although I've been in bed, so we won't count the unwinding time.  :-)

I feel better

I've done my exercises and I think my allergy medicine is kicking in, so I'm not as winded as I was earlier. I was beginning to think I was catching a friend's cold. I feel more awake and with it. The mail just ran three hours earlier than normal and I have a large catalogue to look through and the newest circular from Science Fiction Book Club. Not sure I really want to set an agenda for the day. I have made the phone call I needed to, paid what bills don't come out automatically, that sort of thing. So the rest of the day is pretty much left for me to amuse myself. Still haven't watched Doctor Who, and a friend wants me to watch something from our childhood in light of today's sensibilities to see just how non-politically-correct it may be.

They're vacuuming the hallway outside my door right now. I wish I could vaccum in here. I keep dropping tiny things like the pen needle tips that I can't pick up, and it's been over a month since I vacuumed. Oh, well. I'll have plenty to occupy me once I'm up and walking again.

I'm going to check the news and see if there's anything worth blogging about. Sorry I've just been sort of doing inconsequential posts today, but this is kind of life at the moment.

I never actually fell asleep

but I almost dozed a moment or two. It wasn't the pain. I think it was just being a little revved up from going out. Plus every now and then I got an e-mail and the sound it makes on my phone is the same as for a text message. If I'd turned the phone down, I might have missed a call. So, I kept waking up with each e-mail, mostly political, 'vote for us' stuff. Since I've already voted, it's doing no good for them, and I'm not sending in money that I don't have within 10 days of an election. I'm irritated with all the e-mails I've received from the party and the campaigns--and yes, I'm talking about the Democrats, but I'm sure the Republicans are just as bad. They were averaging about five-seven a day for awhile, and I was also receiving some from some Florida Congressman whom I've never heard of and can't vote for because I live in an entirely different state. Also, 'come knock on doors' in Ohio seems kind of pushy since I'm not in Ohio. Well, you get the idea.

Regardless of all that, I did actually get some rest, and feel somewhat rejuvenated. I surfaced for food (another half portion of tortilla chips with black bean dip, as well as some sugar-free shortbread cookies). It looks positively dark and icky outside. My computer says it's 38 degrees. Winter really is just around the corner. We've been spoiled by relatively fine weather, I suppose. But I won't complain, because this is what we're getting of Hurricane Sandy, and millions of others are affected horribly. I am so glad that I do not live on the coast. With my mobility down, I would be at a higher risk for problems in the centre of a major disaster like that. I only today got some keys made for Brandon and YKWIA so if I fall or otherwise need help, I can call and they can get into my apartment.

I also talked with A earlier on the phone. He thanked me for his gift (a CD of the Zombies from the 1960s) and he's off for a few days' vacation so he may come visit me soon. When I was over earlier, he asked me when a good day would be and it amused Brandon terribly that I had to think because of course, with the exception of an appointment coming up, I'm home. I don't really have a full calendar these days. :)

Okay, I think I'll check on the news and then head to the bedroom for some reading. I had to charge up the Kindle. I hadn't been able to read in the dim light very well, so I had let its battery run down. I also have some books out from the library I'd like to go through.

I just had a wonderful breakfast

courtesy of Wanda, who brought me some things yesterday. It was a banana; a spinach salad with feta, walnuts, cranberries, and dressing; some orange Jell-O, and a diet Pepsi. Okay, maybe that's not everyone's idea of breakfast, but it's the largest meal I've had in days, bigger than last night's dinner of black bean veggie patty and lentil soup. My appetite is slowly coming back. I lost three pounds last week (and frankly, I can afford to lose some more).

It's sunny outside and sixty degrees, even though it's not even 10 am. I think this is our last hurrah before autumn really kicks in. I haven't been out since Friday, so I'm not sure just how nice it is. Unfortunately I don't have the leverage to open the windows. It would be nice. Tomorrow is supposed to be even nicer, and I do have to go out then, so at least it won't be raining and cold or anything.

I am determined not to let my lavender plant die, even though every couple of days it needs water. I'm keeping some water nearby so I can just tip some in. It really needs to be in a better pot, but that will have to wait. There are several plants that need to be culled; I'm afraid they've become infested with those little white fuzzy mealy bugs and there's no saving them. I can't put the lavender in with the pepper and rosemary for more efficient care (the others don't need to be watered as often), because it's been exposed, even though I can't see any on them. I remember my mom railing against those stupid bugs when I was a kid, and her sometimes fruitless efforts to save plants with them (especially jade plants, which seem particularly susceptible; that's what mine came in on).

Today I'm going to try to actually read and watch some TV. I have something set up in the living room where I can sit comfortably. The light is much better in the living room; there's more natural light and two floor lamps. In the bedroom I have trouble sitting up straight at my headboard (I need one of those study pillows, sometimes called 'husband' pillows, the ones with the arms on either side), but even then there's one bulb in an overhead light. I'm hoping that one holds out; otherwise someone is going to have to climb up on my bed to change a light bulb, and it sure isn't going to be me. :)

The last couple of days I've spoken to my aunts on the phone for quite some time. One lives in Georgia. She's my mother's sister, and the family constantly call me 'Sharon' accidentally because we're very much alike (especially in terms of talking) :). We both work in libraries; she works in a public library there in a rural area of south Georgia. The other one is my mom's brother's wife, also named Sharon (although being in the South, we have Sharon Sue and Sharon Ann to differentiate) and they live in San Antonio. We don't get to see or talk with each other much, so it was very nice to get to chat with them for awhile.

I'm having a little trouble remembering what day it is, and the date especially, and would be totally lost without appointments to go to. It's like I'm home for one long Saturday that never seems to end. I have a friend who is not grounded in time at all; seasons, day and night, that sort of thing he can do, but dates and days he's always mixing up. I'm beginning to see how easy that can happen. I'm trying to stay on top of the date, at least, because I have some library books due tomorrow and Thursday, unless I can get them rechecked. I haven't tried yet.

They're doing some sort of work at my apartment complex in a few of the other buildings, putting in some sort of pipe in front of them. This little loader of some sort keeps going back and forth between there, past my window, and to a giant pile o' dirt that is over by one of the Dumpsters. Last night they were still working after dark. It was a little odd.

I realise my posts have been a little, well, ho-hum. That's how things are around here lately. I'll try to get into the swing of things again and start posting about the news. To be honest, I haven't seen much. Something major could have happened and I'd have no clue. I think I've checked the news online maybe three times since I've been home, as opposed to my normal three times or so a day. I didn't watch the debate last night. So, I'm a little out of the loop. Of course, I already had my mind up in terms of candidate, and I'm hoping I get my absentee ballot today so I can send it back as quickly as possible.

Okay, I think I'm going to go answer the call of nature (never put that off when you're on low mobility) and then ensconce myself in the living room to get a little more serious stuff done before trying to actually do something to keep from being bored other than playing Jewels Legend (I'm up to level 31 or 32 now. There's over 200 levels per 'world', with two 'worlds'.) :)

I lucked out

I was finished with my work for the day and needed to go to the bank, so I left work a bit early and one of my co-workers not only took me to the bank, but took me home as well, so I got home in record time. Now I'm in a sunny room having some of the pasta YKWIA made, although it looks like it's cloudy on the western horizon and might even rain later.

Tomorrow I have free time, although as usual when that happens, I don't have money to go out and do things. Also, a co-worker is giving me a couple of small tables and might stop by if she's in Lexington, so I'll probably stick close to home in case she calls. I'm looking forward to reading and maybe watching some movies. I do still need to do the notes, and I will start earlier this time, as last time was awful. The house is in good shape, so I don't need to do anything on that front, except maybe vacuum and put some water in the aquarium for the fish (it evaporates). So tomorrow is a fun day, for the most part.

Okay, I think I'm going to go read the news and then that HP Lovecraft graphic novel. Have a great night.

Monday, September 03, 2012

Wow

I almost never get to sleep in. Either I'm at work, or on someone's schedule, or have my own things to do. Last night I turned all the alarms off. I woke up at 8:30 to go to the bathroom, and I took my long-acting insulin. Then I went back to bed. I was having an annoying dream where I was having to fight a non-existent library branch for a snack they offered but didn't actually know how to sell, and had finally resolved that when I woke up at 11:45. I guess I was dreaming about food because it had been over 12 hours since I'd eaten. My blood sugar was good despite lots of treats yesterday (as in fresh fruit and cheese, plus a wonderful meal of kugel, zucchini soup, and purple coleslaw). And while I did sleep nearly 12 hours, consider that I'd been up early yesterday and had a full day. On a normal week I would have gone into work somewhat zombified, been productive regardless (I am often most productive on those days), and then slipped home and crashed for 12 hours anyway. This time I got to avoid the delay. :)

It's gloomy outside but not raining. We did get some yesterday, but I don't know if it was a good soaking rain or not, since we were playing and it was dark already when the real rain came, and I sit with my back to the window anyway. But I did hear it a couple of times, which is a good sign, as the windows were closed. Even my pepper, which sits deep inside a porch, had some. I'll check later today to see if I need to water it more, though.

I have no plans for today. I don't plan on going out unless there's a good reason. The buses only run till 8:20 anyway. I'll try to take my aquarium hood assembly in tomorrow. So today it's read, straighten up a bit, watch some DVDs, laze around a bit, and generally entertain myself, something I used to be quite good at doing but have lately started failing at miserably, hence the getting bored and going on to bed. They say as you get older you get more 'opposite' than you were on the Myers-Briggs test. I used to be a very strong introvert, then was more in the middle. Now I'm beginning to wonder if I'm losing the introvert's ability to amuse themselves without stimulation. Could I be becoming (oh, no) an extrovert? I have become very people-oriented over time, rather than living as much in my own head. It does make you wonder. :)

On that note, I think I'll go read. Hope you have a lovely day off, if you have one.

Yay, I'm free!!!

Don't get me wrong, I do like my job a great deal, but it's nice that I don't have to go back for FOUR whole days. Sometimes you just have to get away for a bit, you know?

My phone is telling me it's time to get on the exercise bike. I am eyeing it warily, but I think I'll try. :)

I am sorry, I'm terribly behind on my writing

Tuesday I went to the ophthalmologist and had a field of vision and pressure check. As far as the former goes, I'd rather have a blood stick than that, to be honest, but it came out fine. The pressure is still holding the same as last time, a bit high but not so high that I have to have eye drops or anything. And so, it turned out pretty well. I was really busy at work and came home and did some stuff around the house but basically petered out before I could really sit down and write. But then I wound up talking on the phone for in the wee hours of the morning for over two hours.

Fortunately I was able to sleep in a bit the next day, though, as I had taken off work to celebrate a birthday with friends. I got up, went to the bank, grabbed a couple of egg and cheese biscuits, and headed to their house. We went to Masala, the Indian restaurant over by Fayette Mall, which was very good and priced very reasonably. As far as taste I thought it much better than what I had at Tandoor a few weeks ago. The mirrors were a little disconcerting; it was like being in a hall of them, and difficult to determine reflection from reality. But the food was good, the service was attentive, and it was nice to visit and have a meal and conversation. Afterwards we went to the mall to catch the bus back, and did a little shopping along the way. We went back to their house and I visited and helped make two derby pies. I got home a little after 11. I didn't get to sleep though, till about 1 am. So I'm tired tonight and seriously considering a nap, although that laundry is not getting any done on its own, and I wound up wearing velvet pants in 90-degree heat. It wasn't so bad this morning, but I'm thankful I got a ride this afternoon.

Now I'm home; I've watered my purple pepper plant, eaten a little, and like I said, the bed calls to me.

I'm still playing catch-up at work, and I hope I can get everything together tomorrow, as I am off Tuesday, making for a four-day weekend. :) Here are a few things I want to get done at home between now and Wednesday:

  1. Do the laundry, of course
  2. Take my aquarium hood to Animal House, a pet store, where they're going to check my starter and ballast, both of which are cheaper to replace than the whole assembly. [Had to put that off till later; they were closed on Tuesday when I was going to go.]
  3. Work on those CDs I pulled out the other day and put them in some semblance of order
  4. Straighten up just a bit in the living and dining areas
  5. Take out the trash and recyclables
  6. Check to see if Brenda has any conflicts due to the holiday with playing the game
  7. Do the game notes regardless
  8. Game
  9. Start back with yoga
  10. Watch a DVD I have out, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
  11. Get some information about some jobs at work to one of the people I talk to on the bus
  12. Watch the premiere of series 7 of Doctor Who
  13. Get some of my library books read

That's all I can think of for now. I think it's doable. :) Okay, I really am going to go take that nap, but set different alarms to make sure I don't sleep through the rooster one on my phone.

Saturday, August 11, 2012

I woke up on my own this morning

which is always a nice feeling, as it usually takes three alarms, one that sounds like a rooster, to get me up in the morning, and even that can be iffy (I slept through all three the other day. Fortunately I'm usually early to work, so I was just a few minutes late by taking the next bus).

I'd set the alarm for 8:30 but woke up about 7:50 or 8, so still slept in by about an hour. Since that time I have showered, had some spa time with a manicure set and jasmine-vanilla lotion, made the bed (the less likely it will be for me to take 'naps'!), fed the fish, checked my blood sugar, properly medicated (although the Claritin pill tried to escape to the nether regions below the computer desk), eaten breakfast (a banana and some low-fat Greek yoghurt), and have started my water consumption for the day (8 fl. oz. so far).

It's a lovely day, sunny and only 62 degrees at the moment--and it's only supposed to go to 78. That's great, considering July was so very hot.

Things I may do today (I'm not calling it an agenda, and I don't plan to do all of them, but perhaps some:
  • Go to the Farmer's Market by my house for tomatoes.
  • Get my hair cut.
  • Go to Kroger and get contact lens cleaner, deodorant, and toothpaste.
  • Eat somewhere nice.
  • Work on the top of my dresser and chest-of-drawers.
  • Put away the clothes in the hamper.
  • Watch Grimm in preparation for the new series.
  • Do game notes/charge the batteries for the voice recorder, just in case we play tomorrow.
  • Watch a movie (at home).
  • Go to the pool.
  • Take out the trash.
  • Do the few dishes I have.
  • Listen to music.
  • Read.
UPDATE: It was too cool for the pool, I think. It only got up to 76. I didn't watch anything, but got a lot accomplished. I've got a call in about the game. Otherwise, I think I'll just read and relax.

Friday, August 10, 2012

So tired

7 am seems like a long time ago. That's when I woke up. I had a good day at work (I found out I didn't need to get referrals for the second-most common insurance company I had on my queue--yay!) Then I went to the bank and then over to my friends' house to deliver a DVD and talk gardening. But I didn't get home until 10 pm and I am now ready for bed.

I have tomorrow to myself. I'm not going to bother with an agenda; the best laid plans tend to always screw up. But I'm going to try to have some fun. Oh, and get my hair cut. That's a big priority. My bangs are down to the end of my nose and making me crazy, or at least contributing. :)

Good night.

Saturday, May 12, 2012

It has been a quiet day at home

I woke up after sleeping in till 9:30 and did yoga (with my Rodney Yee A.M. Yoga, which I managed to complete today; here's looking at using this one on Saturdays and the other five in the Week of A.M. Yoga throughout the workweek), followed by a 10-minute meditation using an application called Insight Timer that sets up a meditation timer with the sounds of various Tibetan bells to help focus your breathing and mind. I checked the news, had breakfast. I spoke to a friend for awhile on the phone. Mostly I've just kind of hung out and enjoyed a bit of rare slow day, although the day is going by quicker than I imagined. I just had lunch and it's almost 3 pm. I think now is the time to take a shower, get a little revved up, and get a few things done, but I must admit, I'm not feeling very motivated. I'm just kind of enjoying the lull. There will be a lot to do tomorrow, after all. And then the week ahead is looking moderately busy, but with enough time to get caught up on some tasks at work. But all that work on Tuesday really paid off, in that I was able to just enjoy the day today without fretting about the house.

Tomorrow

I have a day off. Here's the plan:

  1. Take a slew of books back to the library before they open.
  2. Go to the bank.
  3. Go get my driver's licence renewed.
  4. Go see The Hunger Games.
  5. Do laundry.
  6. Work on the house.
Too ambitious? I'm kind of bored now. I could get a jump on things, but I think I'll read instead. :) I'm reading Catching Fire.
