Born, like other comic book characters, out of an otherwise trivial but life-changing animal bite, the Rabid Librarian seeks out strange, useless facts, raves about real and perceived injustices, and seeks to meet her greatest challenge of all--her own life.

Ooooohhhh! Medlical librarian geekiness for Google
Google's Body Browser essentially lets you explore human anatomy as you would with Google Earth. For now, I think you need Chrome or other browsers that use WebGL [that includes Firefox and Safari--there are instructions at that link for enabling it. Unfortunately I have a higher version of Firefox and the instructions don't work for it. :( And since I (and most medical libraries) are locked into Internet Explorer at work, it may not make it to prime time in our setting. :(]
Nifty.
