one of the librarians I follow on Twitter tweeted that her dog, Zeus, had been hit and was at the vet's office. He has a broken leg and is being cared for, and I'm really hoping everything will go well for them.
In the face of the big disasters, we sometimes forget that the personal ones cut as deeply, and we often feel terribly alone. I've tweeted her my best wishes, but if you could, keep the dog and her in your thoughts. Her name is Jennifer Cyr, who writes as A Canuck Librarian (@CanuckLibrarian).

Thank you! Zeus has a long way to go to be healed (still needs surgery) but it's good to know people care! I'm just listening to him sleep right now.
