Early Friday morning, Buddy came to the rescue of his Clayton County family when a fire broke out in the kitchen. Thanks to Buddy, the two adults and three children made it out safely.The Shih Tzu alerted the family about 5:30 am, which had a television on and did not hear the smoke alarm, when a fire that had been put out earlier in the evening re-kindled overnight.
Buddy did not.

Thank you for sharing this story! He was truly a loyal and brave dog. It is amazing to me how smart our canine companions are---one of my own dachshunds knew I was having a cardiac event about 10 years ago.
