Every now and then 'Every Sperm is Sacred' creeps into my brain. Now that I have VCR again I can watch Meaning of Life, Holy Grail, and Life of Brian, again, as I don't have them on DVD yet. :)



and then there's this, which I think is doubly funny because, well, Graham Chapman (my favourite of the six) was the member of the troupe who was gay, and he always seems to play the straight guy.

There's others, like Texas fighting to keep two married gays together and the woman who wanted her money back when her church started doing gay marriages. Joe put up the one on Focus on the Family. Each segment takes clips from shows and provide humourous commentary.

Okay, anti-gay types probably wouldn't find them humourous. But I don't care. I find them hilarious.

I saw this the other day and loved it

The use of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' in the first one was brilliant. And the little dog (a Yorkie) really loves his or her pit bull friend.





I am not saying there are not dangerous pit bulls or Rottweilers out there. But the gentlest dog I know is a Rottweiler, and although very stupid (she likes to run headfirst into brick walls), she's incredibly loving and sweet, and I don't think she'd ever harm anyone. I'm a little wary of both dog breeds if I meet them on the street and probably wouldn't have them in a house with very young children (although the one I know would probably let kids do just about anything to her), mind you, but I think if raised with love, they can be loving pets and companions.

Unfortunately, if you look up Rottweiler or pit bull on YouTube you get an awful lot of dog fights. I don't think they should be there, frankly, but on the other hand maybe it's best if people see the stupid and cruel things people do to dogs.

I unexpectedly found myself at home by 10 pm

so I thought I'd blog, although I have to get up around 5 am.

Here's something I starred in my feed reader; it's a creepy form of bibliographic instruction. From Boing Boing, via the Great Western Dragon on LISNews.

When I was in fifth grade, Mississippi Public Broadcasting decided to introduce a series of short films to educate children on how to use the library. For some godforsaken reason, the people at MPB decided that the best way to do this would be through a post-apocalyptic science fiction serial with children roaming the blasted earth in a… bookmobile… like a cross between 'Reading Rainbow' and 'Damnation Alley.' Confused? So was I. I loved the library and post-apocalyptic movies and television programs, and even I was completely nonplussed. Apparently someone has uploaded the entire run onto YouTube. The music still gives me the creeps!
