and as a result, slept really well, despite getting about 5 hours of sleep. It was very nice to wake up in a clean and fairly organised house. I made the bed, took a shower, got dressed, and now I'm munching on herb bread for breakfast, which is yummy. I was out of parsley flakes, so I used the mystery herbal mix instead entirely. I gave some of the bread as an offering along with some mead last night. Granted, I usually use red wine, but I had it on hand, wasn't probably going to drink it (I won't drive if I've had one drink--I don't handle wine well, and there's always a chance of an emergency coming up, so now that I'm driving again, I'm even less likely to drink), and didn't think She'd mind, as I gave her the whole bottle.
Okay, I'm going to eyeball the house and see if I missed anything, and then head on over to the game master's house. I'll be a little early, but since there's prep and a grocery run to do, plus I'm assuming he wants to come see, a little extra time won't be amiss.
Born, like other comic book characters, out of an otherwise trivial but life-changing animal bite, the Rabid Librarian seeks out strange, useless facts, raves about real and perceived injustices, and seeks to meet her greatest challenge of all--her own life.

Muggy
It's not even 70 degrees and the air is a bit heavy with moisture, and there's a fog advisory out.
I didn't have time for the oatmeal, but I'm not really hungry. My outlook is much better today, and I've taken my Lantus, both last night and this morning, so hopefully my sugar will be okay when I do eat.
I'm looking forward to today, and hope I can get a lot accomplished. Wish me luck!

Today I:
- Sweated...a lot. It's very muggy and got up into the 90s today.
- Decided that I'd had enough with long hair, especially in mugginess. I had my hair cut to the nape of my neck and donated to Locks of Love.
- Signed up with T-mobile for a non-contract plan that will allow me to actually talk on my cell phone with people rather than have Twitter-like conversations because I'd get 35 minutes at a time with my prepaid account. I get 300 minutes per month (should be plenty), nights and weekends free, and five numbers whether cell or land line that I can call for free for $39/month. I got a $200 phone for $30 that has a camera/video, music, FM radio. It comes with a memory card and a Bluetooth headset for hands-free calling. The only downside so far is that because I have a T-mobile prepaid phone number, I can't transfer it to the new plan and will have to get another number. The phone model has mixed reviews (complaints are mostly about battery life, but I charge mine every night or two, so I think I should be okay).
- Was one of the few people inside at the hospital because many were volunteering with a sports clinic outside--in the muggy heat.
- Worked truck night. We are being decimated. One woman is in the hospital with a 102 degree fever (and she's pregnant, so I'm worried about her). One is out of town preparing for a relative's impending death. Another is getting over food poisoning, and I'm gimpy (can't go up the ladder easily with the boot on--I almost fell the other day) and having sinus issues or mild cold. That leaves the hyper girl and the manager at 100%, as far as I know.
- Fixed (I hope!) a computer software issue for a friend.
I did other stuff, of course, but those were the main ones. How was your day?
