Loved the company, but...

After work today I took YKWIA to an appointment, and then we went to his house and I took A to get just a few things from the grocery and stopped by Long John Silver's for dinner. Then it was back to the house and I watched a couple of episodes of 'Haven' with YKWIA, which I loved. We also watched a few YouTube videos, and then we wound up talking for a very long time, so long, in fact, that when I finally went into the kitchen to throw something away, I had to take my phone, whose battery was almost dead, and look at it, because I thought the stove clock must be terribly wrong. It was almost 1:30 am. So I took my leave, came home to absolutely no traffic on the road, practically, finally found a parking spot, and then I got ready for bed. Now it's almost 2:30. I have to be at work in six hours. So it's definitely time I turned in. But it was like old times, staying up late talking about all sorts of topics. That was nice. Good night.

Well, drat!

I set three alarms, but even so, I woke up at 5 minutes till 8, about an hour after I normally do. I almost made the bus that comes after mine, which would have made me just 15 minutes late, but didn't, so I'll get to work about 9:15. I'm supposed to be there at 8:30. I usually get there about 8:15 and hang around for a bit before clocking in. I've called both managers, talked to one, and that's about all I can do until it's time to head out for the next bus.

It's the last day of the pay period, so I'll have to take that 45 minutes as PTO unless I can stay longer. I have so much to do today, for both jobs. But there's nothing I can do till I get there, I guess.

I'll be so glad when the work day is over.

On the other hand, I have clean clothes to wear, right? :)

I'm supposed to be at on the bus right now

But I didn't quite get up in time to get there. Once I got ready, I had 9 minutes to get to the bus stop, and it takes about 15 to get there on a good day. I wasn't going to go there and then wait outside in the mugginess for an hour at the stop, so I'm on the computer. So I'm up, having taken my medicine, gotten everything packed up and ready to go, and I'll have to catch the 6:30 bus instead. I have a half an hour before I need to leave.

So although I'll be 'on time' for a normal Sunday, I'm late for when I was supposed to be there today (there is apparently a lot to do to get ready for the game this time, so I was coming over an hour early.) Ah, the story of my life.

Oh, and by the way

it's raining pretty hard and thundering, which is one reason the light didn't wake me up. Should be a good setting for the game, though. :)

It figures

I went to bed at a decent hour last night (for me), a little after 1:30, after searching out some information for our game master. But I tossed and turned in the bed for a good two hours without sleep, and then I apparently slept through several alarms (one VERY loud one to wake the dead, along with my cell phone wake-up-tones-every-10-minutes-for-an-hour. I woke up exactly when I should have stepped off the bus at my friend's house. Since that is also an hour before another bus, and then an hour's ride after that, I'm now waiting for a taxi to take me there. It should be here in 20-30 minutes, fair given that it's almost time for churches to start, and at least I'll get there by about 10 rather than 11. The game starts at 1 and I have to have some time to get the house ready. Normally I start at 8 or 9 am. Agghhhh!!!
