After a California couple called off their wedding, the bride-to-be's family decided to turn the $35,000 extravagant event into a feast for the homeless.A lot of brides and grooms, facing the expectations of their families and the associated price tags, would have gone ahead and made perhaps the Worst Mistake of Their Lives, rather than disappoint everyone. This couple chose to make the decision that was most likely right for them, and the bride's family found a way to do a wonderful thing in spite of the loss of money and relationship. Kudos to them for helping out others, and I hope the bride and her mom are happily enjoying Belize.
Born, like other comic book characters, out of an otherwise trivial but life-changing animal bite, the Rabid Librarian seeks out strange, useless facts, raves about real and perceived injustices, and seeks to meet her greatest challenge of all--her own life.
