Born, like other comic book characters, out of an otherwise trivial but life-changing animal bite, the Rabid Librarian seeks out strange, useless facts, raves about real and perceived injustices, and seeks to meet her greatest challenge of all--her own life.

While I appreciate
that a certain streaming video company has decided to protect my account, which, they say, may have been compromised due to a breach of another website, I'm beginning to get annoyed, as they have automatically reset my password twice in the last two weeks. The first time was a minor annoyance, as I had to go use the 'forgot password' utility (even though I knew mine perfectly well) to do a further reset, and I came up with a password which is unique among all the sites AND no one outside of my family would suspect. Now I have to come up with another. :( #FirstWorldProblems

Up late working on a computer, this time for someone else
Note to any of you making the switch from Insight to Time Warner Cable e-mail:
- Do not choose a password over 12 characters even though it gives you that option, because it won't let you change it later and you'll wind up on the phone with tech support for a long while.
- The POP and SMTP server names are both mail.twc.com--the techs don't know this, because the twc.com thing is so new.
- If using Outlook, you have to put your entire e-mail address in as a username in order to receive incoming mail.
