In local news, Central Kentucky Radio Eye, a volunteer-driven organisation which provides a radio reading serve for the blind and those with low vision. Broadcasting 24/7, the CKRE is funded entirely through private donations and grants. Vouchers are available at all six branches of the Lexington Public Library, both Slone's Signature Market locations, all John's Shoe Stores (Chevy Chase, Lexington Green and New Circle Road), Alfalfa Restaurant, PHAT Pie Cafe, and on CKRE's website.
