Today--not so productive

I mean, yes, I did go to physical therapy this morning, did the neck traction thing, and learned several new exercises (actually went on the hand bike, too). I took back some library books. I did interlibrary loan stuff and general library things. I did some data entry (wasn't a big day for that; tomorrow and the next day will be much busier). I did the not-as-big-grocery-run we normally do on Sundays. I came home and watered plants. I played on the computer for awhile. I talked to a friend on the phone. I napped. That's it.

I think part of it is it is so darn muggy outside. Our heat index at 7 pm was 111 degrees. This morning's walk to PT had me drenched and red in the face in 15 minutes--at 8 am. Parts of the hospital with skylights or lots of windows were warm as well (thankfully, the library was comfortable, yet I still have two windows). Once Brenda let me off, I had no intention of going back outside for any reason short of an emergency. And although my apartment is comfortable, too much moving around and it became less so.

Tomorrow's supposed to be just as bad, weather-wise. I'm going to the hospital early tomorrow so that a couple of librarians from another one can pick me up and we'll drive to a Kentucky Medical Library Association meeting in Frankfort.

Wednesday's supposed to be a little cooler, which is good, as I have a doctor's appointment with the neck specialist. Then there's PT again on Friday. I have had a health appointment of some type every other day for the last and this week. :(

Okay, I'm going back to bed. But first, a quick thing that Brenda came across in the paper today--

One of the theatres in Lexington is running a Harry Potter movie marathon on Wednesday and Thursday, culminating in a midnight showing of the last movie. The movies, back to back, start on Wednesday. She said it was a little over $30 to get in. If I didn't have to work, I'd be tempted. I am looking forward to seeing Deathly Hallows Part 2, but I'm not sure I'll be able to this weekend or not. We'll see.
