Thanks to YKWIA playing this last week, I have had the 'Charles in Charge' theme song in my head the last few days. It is beautifully done a cappella by The Blanks, who performed on 'Scrubs' often. Please don't get me wrong, I love what they've done--I just find the 'Charles in Charge' to be, well, insipid yet devilishly catchy.
My favourite, though, is their version of 'Underdog' (of course I always loved that theme, anyway):
Technically, this is probably better. I identified it in the first note or two.
Okay, good night for real this time. :)
Born, like other comic book characters, out of an otherwise trivial but life-changing animal bite, the Rabid Librarian seeks out strange, useless facts, raves about real and perceived injustices, and seeks to meet her greatest challenge of all--her own life.

Did you know
the same songwriter who gave us 'Eve of Destruction' also gave us 'Secret Agent Man'? :)
I'm rather fond of both. The first is on a video on the Vietnam post below. Here's 'Secret Agent Man', which was the theme for a British television show ('Danger Man') that was retitled 'Secret Agent' in America with Johnny Rivers singing this theme:
You might know of another programme starring Patrick McGoohan: 'The Prisoner'. Some people think that agent John Drake and Number 6 were one and the same. Remember it?
The thing I remember the best, oddly enough, about 'The Prisoner' is the Rover. Here's one:
It was so very odd and British. I really must watch some; I loved it when I was younger, but I never saw the ending.

Fun :)
A song inspired by Eric Clapton's 'Layla' and Catullus...in Latin.
'Clodia'
Okay, the pronunciation is not the best by any stretch of the imagination, but it was it was done in good spirits. Be sure to look at the notes for lyrics and references to Catullus' poetry.
And even if you're not a classics geek, here's another song for you:
'The Addams Family Sing-a-long'

I stayed up late watching
the 'Mindgame' pilot mentioned in the last post and 'Ben 10: Race Against Time'. It was interesting to see a cartoon (I like very much) translated into live action. They did an excellent job with casting.
Okay, let's all sing along--
